The Central Committee of the National Executive Council of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) has officially approved the names of candidates for various leadership positions, including parliamentary and representative seats. These individuals will now proceed to internal party primaries, where delegates will vote to choose one candidate to represent CCM in the upcoming General Election scheduled for October 29, 2025.
The decision was made during a special meeting held in Dodoma, chaired by the CCM National Chairperson, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, CPA Amos Makalla, the CCM Secretary for Ideology, Publicity, and Training, stated that the selected names came from a thorough vetting process that assessed each aspirant’s qualifications and leadership potential.
